Londoners were stunned these days as they witnessed what appeared to be an angry orangutan on the loose and climbing to a Christmas tree on Coin Street, as seen here on November 15. Further sightings were reported across the capital as the ape seems to search for a new home. The animatronic replica orangutan was actually made by supermarket chain Iceland and is part of its Christmas campaign. It's used to call on the public to pay attention to the threats of palm oil exploitation to the ecology of orangutans. Palm oil is an ingredient common in supermarket products.[Photo:IC]
