Rare pair of Nike sneakers sold for a record $437,500

The waffle sole traction pattern of the Nike "Moon Shoe" racing flats on display in New York City on Monday, July 22, 2019. The innovative pattern was designed by Nike's co-founder Bill Bowerman for runners competing at the 1972 Olympic Trials. Only 12 pairs were made, and the pair that sold is the only unworn one.
