Shi Hanrong, Liu Qiao, and Zhu Mingsheng are panda breeders in Dongguan, in southern China's Guangdong Province. They arrive at the zoo for work at 7 a.m. Pandas eat a lot, so each day Liu and Zhu wash and prepare around 100 kilograms of bamboo and bamboo shoots. As well as bamboo, the pandas also eat tasty treats made from fruits and grains to stay healthy, which Shi prepares for the two picky eaters. Shi, Liu, and Zhu had worked as zoo keepers for several years before they were selected to work with the zoo's pandas. They were put through a month of special training at the Chengdu Research Base for Giant Panda Breeding before they started working with China's most iconic animal. [Photo: VCG]
