Massive Indian wedding ceremony held in Kunming

Cheerful and lively Indian songs and dancing accompanied a traditional Chinese lion dance at a four-wedding held in Kunming in Yunnan Province that started on December 11. Two pairs of young Indians married at a wedding attended by 970 guests from India.This was the first time such as large scale Indian wedding has been held in China. The celebrations included blessings, ceremonies, parties, and a wedding banquet.Surrounded by friends and relatives, the two grooms dressed in traditional Indian costumes rode on a float to greet their brides, who were dressed in colorful sari.[Photo:IC]
