The life of distinguished Chinese diplomat Li Shengjiao

In the 1960s, Li Shengjiao participated in the boundary negotiations between China and Burma (today's Myanmar). The boundary agreement between China and Burma was the first of its kind that China signed with a neighboring country after 1949. Today marks the first anniversary of the death of Li Shengjiao, a distinguished Chinese diplomat. He was among the first generation of diplomats who were sent abroad following the establishment of People's Republic of China in 1949. He was praised by former Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai for his talent and contributions. He represented China in multiple international meetings and negotiations, with authorities saying he made major contributions to China's national interests. His research results also received high recognition from Chairman Mao, Premier Zhou and other top Chinese leaders.
